Land Acknowledgement

We recognize the ancestral presence of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation, “People of the Flint”, as the past, present, and future custodians of the lands and waters on which we stand.

This territory and gathering place, commonly referred to today as Tiohtià:ke/Montreal, has been home to many indigenous peoples, including the Anishinaabeg, W8banakiak and Wendat, who have lived here at different times in history, sharing and transmitting artistic practices and cultural knowledge.

In this, the Festival recognizes that it is taking place on unceded territory, and that it has a duty to work to develop the sensibilities and responsibilities of our organization and the public through a curating of films and discussions committed to a common future of friendship, peace and decolonization.

About Us

An initiative of Panorama-cinéma, the 3rd annual Montreal Critics’ Week extends the online magazine’s critical lens offline by fostering a space for discourse and discovery in cinema. The Festival showcases new and distinct works paired, juxtaposed, or contrasted to encourage inquisitive spectatorship that considers the thematic, political and formal ramifications of the chosen works.

Our Venue

Admission Policy

  • Ticket holders must arrive on time to be admitted.
  • Passport holders should arrive 10 minutes ahead of time to be guaranteed admission.
  • Accredited guests, press, and partners must redeem their tickets at the venue upon presenting their accreditation, while supplies last.
  • A rush line will be in place for all screenings.
